Above and beyond customer service! My second time coming to the Midtown ballroom chasing the bands I love, and both times have been really great! This second time however I goofed and left my partners coat at the show. I called the venue the day after (New Year’s Day), and was immediately texted back and the ultra kinda amazing staff made accommodations to meet me back there during the day to get it back! Never had venue staff do anything like that in my life! Super special! Other than that the venue gets it done! Nothing flashy but the shows I’ve seen have been killer, it’s not over sold, entry is fast and easy, and beer lines are quick. Thanks for another good time Midtown! Will be back!
Lyrics Born straight up annihilated this place. Drinks were strong, sound was good, and the vibe was quannum!
Mid sized venue bringing good music into Bend. Its an old roller rink. Cement floors with lots of room to stand but not much seating. The restrooms are nasty and poorly designed. Reminds me of the Roseland in Portland. Staff and security are very friendly and efficient. This place could be better but is not bad for indoor shows in Bend.
Not too shabby. Larger than expected. 2 floors. You’re going to want to get there early if you want viewing room on the top otherwise you won’t be able to see the stage. Since this is an all ages or 18+ club (I can’t remember), drinking is only allowed on the top floor. However, as the night went on, they did allow us to take our drinks downstairs to the dance floor. Not sure if it was because the place wasn’t full or not. Drink prices seemed alright. There was a whole 2nd side of the club that was like a big warehouse so this would make a great venue for both small and large scale events.
We came to the Domino Room to listen to Molly Tuttle only to find it is a drinking and dancing establishment. There were maybe 20 chairs all upstairs which meant it one wants to WATCH the band perform one needed to be the first 20-30 people in line. Ridiculous!
Small venue, pretty unclean, wife Said I'm NOT EATING from here....
I tried to reply through normal means, but it wouldn't allow it...
Colt Ford was the concert, and upstairs was blocked off. Here's the updated official review,
I'm thinking, I'm pretty sold in my assessment at 2 stars.....
It's a dive bar /concert venue. It smelled like a walk-in cooler at a party store.....
Felt grimmy in the air.....
The bathroom area was a couple of Porta Johns that were also placed in the smoking section, walking through dirt and bark chips....
So what maybe 2.5 ? Sorry, I just rounded down....
Very basic venue but certainly acceptable for the market it serves. It was quite hot even though the place wasn't packed and they ran out of most everything at the bar before the show was over and there certainly wasn't anything cold (warm cider was not refreshing 2+ hours into dancing). Staff all seemed good natured and the bar tenders were quick and very apologetic when everything ran out. Would go again but hope they get some big ol fans and have a better stocked bar next time.
If your looking to go out to a concert in bend Oregon this is the place to go. I suggest Pre drinking and taking an uber or taxi there and back. Drinks are expensive didn't have much in the food department which would make it much better but all in all good times to be had here.
